Vueling bookings: changes, cancellations and refunds with Touriyo

Date and time changes are made in the booking on the web or app up to 2 hours before departure; the change applies to all passengers in the booking and origin/destination or fare cannot be changed. Fly Grande, TimeFlex and Premium members: unlimited changes paying only the fare difference. Fly Pro: one change without the change fee. Flex Pack add-on (10-50 EUR per person): one change without the fee plus free cancellation into Flight Credit. Otherwise the change fee is 50-60 EUR per person per flight when more than 15 days remain, 60-70 EUR when 15 days or fewer, plus the fare difference (same fee online, by phone and at the airport). 24-hour courtesy period: within 24 hours of purchase a date/time change is free of the change fee (fare difference still applies). Justified circumstances (illness, surgery, risk pregnancy, court summons) allow a date change paying only the difference, with documents within one month. Flights operated by other airlines: via the Customer Service Centre.

Fly Light, Fly and Fly Pro tickets are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled, except during the courtesy period of 2 hours after booking; airport taxes can always be reclaimed through the virtual assistant if you do not fly. Free cancellation (money back as Flight Credit, not cash) up to 2 hours before departure with Fly Grande, with the Flex Pack add-on, with the cancellation insurance, or for justified reasons (illness, preventive isolation, pregnancy, death, court or electoral summons) requested to Customer Service up to 30 days after the flight. Cancellation affects all passengers in the booking. When Vueling cancels the flight: refund within 7 days to the original payment method, or alternative transport as soon as possible or on a later date, plus assistance and EU261 compensation unless extraordinary circumstances.

Refundable tickets: No fare is cash-refundable voluntarily. Fly Grande includes free cancellation to Flight Credit; Flex Pack adds it to Fly/Fly Light. Death of a passenger or relative: see 'Cancelación por defunción' article. Airport taxes refundable on request when the passenger does not fly.

Credits and vouchers: Flight Credit ('Crédito de vuelo'): usable for the passenger or anyone else on a future booking; needs the original purchase e-mail and the cancelled booking code; validity shown in the balance e-mails. Compensation voucher ('Bono de compensación') exists for disruption compensation.

'Periodo de cortesía': 24 hours from purchase to make one date/time change without the change fee (fare difference applies); cancellation only within 2 hours of booking for non-refundable fares. Vueling does not cite the US DOT rule (it does not fly to the US).

Carry-on: All fares: 1 under-seat bag max 40x30x20 cm free. Fly (with the cabin-bag option), Fly Grande, Fly Pro, Premium members and passengers with infants: plus 1 overhead-bin bag max 10 kg and 55x40x20 cm. Fly Light can add the overhead bag (10-59 EUR per piece per flight online) or get it with Space seats. At the gate an oversized under-seat bag is checked for 60-75 EUR and an oversized/uncontracted cabin bag for 110-140 EUR per piece per flight.

Checked bags: Max 158 cm (L+H+W); options of 15, 20, 25 and 30 kg, one of each type per passenger. Fly Grande includes one 25 kg bag per passenger (except infants); Fly includes a 25 kg bag if that option is chosen at purchase. Over the contracted weight: 12 EUR per extra kg up to 32 kg. Africa/Middle East routes limited to 1-2 bags.

Fees: Online/app: 15 kg 10-95 EUR, 20 kg 14-96 EUR, 25 kg 18-99 EUR, 30 kg 25-120 EUR per piece per flight; airport check-in desk 25 kg bag 50-120 EUR (100-160 EUR to/from Africa and Middle East); gate 10 kg bag 60-75 EUR; excess 12 EUR/kg; special baggage 45-65 EUR online, 55-75 EUR airport. Prices are dynamic; bags are non-refundable; non-digital channels add 10 EUR per booking (airport offices) or 10 EUR per passenger and segment (call centre).

Spelling errors can be corrected in the booking before any flight is flown and up to 2 hours before the first departure. Free, via the Customer Service Centre at any time: translation of a first name (Jordi/Jorge), swapping surname/name order, adding a second surname, changing a middle name, correcting the contact e-mail, adding a compound first name, and legally documented surname/gender-identity changes. Not possible: adding or changing the first surname. Changing the passenger (a different person) is a 'Cambio de nombre' paid in the booking: 50,00 EUR per person per flight plus fare difference. Agency bookings: through the agency ('Cambio de nombre' assistant for agencies).

If you miss the flight, go to the Vueling sales office at the airport or contact Customer Service ('Pérdida del vuelo'); the fee table lists a 'Servicio de rescate de pasajeros' of 105 EUR domestic and 105-125 EUR international at the airport. Missing the outbound does not cancel the return: 'puedes hacer uso de la vuelta sin problema alguno y sin necesidad de realizar ninguna gestión'. Airport taxes of unflown segments can be reclaimed.

Help centre: rights for denied boarding, cancellation and delay are regulated by Regulation (EC) 261/2004. Cancellation: refund within 7 days to the original payment method of the unflown part (and flown part if the trip no longer makes sense, plus return to origin), or re-routing as soon as possible or later; assistance; compensation unless extraordinary circumstances (adverse weather, ATC restrictions): 250 EUR up to 1,500 km, 400 EUR 1,500-3,500 km outside the EU or over 1,500 km inside the EU, 600 EUR over 3,500 km outside the EU. Claims through the web assistants (compensation, refunds, complaints) or chat.

Fare families are now Fly Light / Fly / Fly Pro / Fly Grande (older names TimeFlex, Optima, Family still appear in help articles). Change fee bands 50-60 EUR (>15 days) and 60-70 EUR (<=15 days). 24-hour courtesy period for changes and 2-hour courtesy period for cancellations.
