Etihad Airways bookings: changes, cancellations and refunds with Touriyo

'Changes and cancellations are subject to the fare you've purchased'; done at etihad.com/manage. Fare grid (Fares FAQ): Economy Basic - changes not permitted, no refund; Economy Value - change 'Fees apply', cancel not permitted; Economy Comfort - change and cancel 'Fees apply'; Economy Deluxe - change and cancel free. Business Value - change fees apply, cancel not permitted; Business Comfort - fees apply for both; Business Deluxe - free. First Comfort - fees apply; First Deluxe - free. 'A fee may apply to change or cancel your flight, depending on the route and fare'; with mixed fares 'the most restrictive fare rule will apply'; no change/refund fee on death of a guest or immediate family member (documents required); changes or refunds possible 'until the scheduled departure time of your flight. After that, a no-show fee may apply'. Saver Award seats changeable up to 24 hours before departure. 'If you booked through a travel agent, you'll need to speak to them directly to make changes.'

Request refunds online: etihad.com/manage > booking > 'Cancel / Refund' ('Booked via a travel agent? Please contact your agent directly'). Eligibility depends on fare type, whether part of the trip was flown and the fare rules; non-refundable fares still get eligible government taxes back. Validity: unused tickets up to 1 year from issue, partially used up to 1 year from first flight. Processing: credit/debit card typically 5-14 business days; bank transfer/PayFort up to 45 business days; Etihad Credit 3-5 business days. Refunds only to the original form of payment. Refund service fees apply per the Global Service Fee policy except involuntary cases (flight cancellations, schedule changes). Downgrade: fare difference refunded. US DOT: if Etihad cancels or significantly changes the flight, full refund within 7 business days (cards) or 20 calendar days (other methods). Ancillaries (seats, bags) non-refundable except involuntary changes or a cancellation within 24 hours of purchase when the flight departs 7+ days from booking.

Refundable tickets: Deluxe fares refundable free; Comfort refundable with fee; Economy/Business Value and Economy Basic non-refundable (taxes only).

FAQ (refunds): 'If you cancel your ticket within 24 hours of purchase, and your flight departs 7 days or more from the date of booking, any unused ancillary services purchased in the same transaction will also be refunded' - i.e. the 24-hour cancellation applies to bookings made 7+ days before departure.

Carry-on: Economy (all fares): 1 x 7 kg cabin bag. Business and First: 12 kg (max 2 pieces).

Checked bags: Economy to/from the rest of the world: Basic 'Fees apply' (no free bag), Value 25 kg, Comfort 30 kg, Deluxe 40 kg; to/from the USA & Canada: Basic fees apply, Value/Comfort/Deluxe 2 x 23 kg. Fees: Extra baggage online 'save up to 65%' - buy up to 30 hours before departure (piece-based) or 4 hours (weight-based). Prices by region: Europe, Asia from $44 to $125 per 5 kg; Indian subcontinent, Middle East & GCC, Africa from $26 to $75 per 5 kg; Australia from $70 to $200 per 5 kg; Tunisia and Morocco (tickets issued on/after 29 Jul 2026) $260 per bag up to 23 kg / $300 up to 32 kg at the airport.

'Subject to the fare you've purchased, you can make changes or request a refund until the scheduled departure time of your flight. After that, a no-show fee may apply.'

Changes, refunds and contact-detail updates for tickets booked through a travel agent go through the agent ('you'll need to speak to them directly'); agency-booked guests can still buy seats, extra baggage, upgrades, Priority Access and lounge access in Manage My Trip; upgrades usually allowed on agency bookings except some promo fares. For US involuntary refunds the FAQ tells agents to put 'USA INV REF 7 days rule' in the subject line to the Refunds team.
