Before you pay
Touriyo is an independent travel agency. We charge a service fee for the work we do for you; it is separate from the ticket price and from any penalty the airline sets, and we always tell you the fee before asking for any payment details. If something can be done free directly with the airline, we tell you that too.
The price you confirm is the price you pay.
Fees per passenger, per transaction
- Date, time or route changes, cancellations and refunds on a ticket bought with Touriyo: the service fee is quoted on each call, based on the airline's own rules for your ticket, and stated in one total before any payment. When charged: only when the airline confirms the service. It is never deducted from a refund the airline owes you. Refundable: yes, in full, if the service cannot be done.
- Change or cancellation initiated by the airline (cancelled flight, significant schedule change, oversale): USD 0. When charged: never.
- Handling a refund the law owes you (flight cancelled or significantly changed and you decide not to fly; delayed bag; paid service not provided): USD 0. When charged: never.
- Adding bags to a booking: USD 0; you pay only the airline's bag fee.
- Help with a ticket not bought through Touriyo: we do not offer this service; we give you the airline's official channel.
- Enquiry, quote, refund status: USD 0. When charged: never.
The price we show is the price you pay
Every flight price on Touriyo is the total per person, for the round trip unless it says one way, with taxes and our fee included, in the currency of your market. Nothing mandatory is added later, and optional extras are added only if you choose them.
Fares move, so a price seen earlier is checked again when you search or call. If it changed, you are told the new total before you pay, and you decide.
In Colombia, if two different prices are shown for the same product, the consumer only has to pay the lower one (Ley 1480 de 2011, article 26).
The 24 hours
If you buy with Touriyo seven or more days before departure, you can cancel within 24 hours of purchase with a full refund, including our fee, to the same payment method. (This is the rule DOT imposes on airlines in 14 CFR 259.5(b)(4); we adopt it as our own policy because the rule is addressed to carriers.)
Statutory withdrawal
- Colombia: distance sale, 5 business days from the contract to withdraw, provided the service has not begun; full refund without deductions, within 30 calendar days (Ley 1480 art. 47; the Superintendencia de Transporte applies it to air tickets, communiqué 25-May-2026). Separately, RAC 3 desistimiento (notice 24 hours before the flight; airline may keep up to 10 %; not for promotional fares).
- Other countries: Chile 48 hours on domestic flights, Brazil 24 hours, Ecuador 48 hours, Mexico 24 hours, India 48 hours when booked on the airline's site, Argentina 10 days where the fare allows. The agent applies the rule of the customer's country.
Policy clauses
- One quote. The total you confirm in writing is the total we charge. If the airline changes the price before ticketing, we do not charge: we send you the new quote and you decide. We will never ask for "a little more" after charging you (14 CFR 399.88).
- The fee is for what gets done. If the airline does not confirm the change, cancellation or issuance, the service fee is refunded in full.
- We never deduct our fee from a refund the law owes you. If your flight was cancelled or significantly changed and you decide not to fly, the refund is full and we handle it at no cost (14 CFR 260.6 and 399.80(l)).
- Taxes. Unused taxes and fees are refunded under the airline's and the country's rule; in India all statutory taxes are refunded even on non-refundable fares (DGCA CAR Sec. 3 Series M Part II).
- No charge for processing a refund that is due (14 CFR 260.10: "may not retain a processing fee"; DGCA CAR clause j).
- Currency. We quote in USD on touriyo.com; the charge is made in the quoted currency; your bank may apply a conversion.
