Caribbean Airlines bookings: changes, cancellations and refunds with Touriyo

Changes and cancellations of current travel go through the Reservations Sales and Customer Support Department. The page does not spell out fare differences for ordinary changes (the 24-hour policy text says fare, tax and carrier-fee differences apply to changes). The online 'Cancel & Hold Your Ticket' tool (#/ticket-cancellation) still describes 2022 COVID waivers and tickets valid one year from issue.

Optional Fees page, 'Reservations / Cancellations' (both route groups: to/from USA/Canada and the Caribbean, Guyana, Suriname, Caracas and transatlantic; and within the Caribbean, Guyana, Suriname, Caracas): Lite non-refundable; Classic 50% refundable; Flex 100% refundable; Biz 50% refundable; Biz Flex 100% refundable; where fares are 100% refundable a processing fee of USD50/EUR46/CAD71 applies. Ticket Refund Services Directory: refund requests must go to the place of purchase (call centre or travel agent initiates them); the Refunds Follow Up Desk is reached through the Reservations Sales & Service Centre (option 2, then 3 'All Other Destinations', then 3 'Refund Follow-Up'), Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., closed weekends and Trinidad & Tobago public holidays. A separate 'Ticket Refund Policy' page covers lost tickets, illness/death waivers and partially used tickets. Ticket Refunds page (#/reservations/ticket-refunds): INVOLUNTARY refund when CAL cancels or makes a significant schedule change (departure 4+ hours earlier/later, airport change, added connection, loss of an accessibility feature); CAL may first offer alternative transport, travel credit or voucher, which you may decline for a refund of the ticket and ancillary fees; if you do not respond by the original date, the affected and subsequent flights are cancelled and refunded to the original form of payment. VOLUNTARY refunds by fare family: Lite non-refundable (some taxes refundable); Classic and Biz - 50% (+tax) of the base fare non-refundable; Flex, Premium Economy and Biz Flex - fully refundable base fare less USD 50 (+tax) processing fee; on combination tickets the most restrictive rule applies to the whole ticket; eligible taxes refundable even on non-refundable fares; change fees already paid are not refunded. Process: direct purchases - cancel with Reservations, then complete the Refund Request Form; agency/OTA purchases - the agent 'can and should process your refund'. Refunds to the original form of payment (cash by cheque or wire), generally 7-20 working days after a complete request. Waiver of refund rules for certifiable hospitalisation or death of the passenger or an immediate family member (parents, siblings, grandparents, spouse, children, legal guardian) with documents; flights must be cancelled before departure to keep refund value. Expired tickets (one year from first travel, or from issue if unused) are not refundable. One-way/partially used tickets may need proof of immigration status. T&T Passenger Service Charge exemptions refundable within 60 days (over-60 citizens/residents, under-5s, transit under 48 h, military, crew). Award tickets: miles redeposit fee applies, request within one year.

Refundable tickets: Lite: non-refundable (some taxes refundable). Classic: 50% (+tax) of base fare non-refundable. Flex: fully refundable base fare less USD 50 (+tax) processing fee. Premium Economy: same as Flex. Biz: 50% (+tax) non-refundable. Biz Flex: fully refundable less USD 50 (+tax). Combination fares: most restrictive rule applies. Involuntary (cancellation / 4-hour schedule change / airport change / added connection): full refund without penalty if the alternative is declined.

Caribbean Airlines publishes conflicting information about cancelling right after booking on its own website, so neither version is repeated here. Compare the pages listed below, or ask Caribbean Airlines directly.

Carry-on: One carry-on bag (max 56 x 35 x 23 cm / 22 x 14 x 9 in including wheels and handles, 10 kg / 22 lb) plus one personal item (max 33 x 43 x 15 cm) on all flights and cabins; items outside the allowance are charged as an extra piece. Lap infants: one carry-on up to 10 kg plus a collapsible stroller/car seat. Liquids max 100 ml containers; powders 350 ml or more prohibited in cabin (exceptions: prescribed, baby formula, human remains); drones only in carry-on.

Checked bags: Each checked bag max 23 kg (50 lb) and 157 cm (62 in) linear; bags over 32 kg or 292 cm not accepted (cargo). Domestic Trinidad-Tobago: 1 free bag, extra bags and overweight TTD 3.00/kg. International (tickets bought on/after 8 July 2026): Lite - no free bag; Classic - 1 free; Flex - 2 free; Biz - 2 free; Biz Flex - 3 free. Second bag free on Classic for Caribbean Miles Silver/Gold/Platinum and tertiary students within the Caribbean. Mixed fares: allowance of the longest sector per direction.

Fees: Per one-way sector, off-peak / peak (peak: 1-7 Jan, 1 Jul-7 Sep, 23 Nov-31 Dec), USD5 cheaper when bought more than 24 h before departure: Lite 1st bag USD40/EUR39/CAD57 (peak USD45/EUR41/CAD64), 2nd bag USD50/EUR46/CAD71 (peak USD55/EUR49/CAD78); Classic 2nd bag USD50 (peak USD55); 3rd and 4th bags USD175/EUR155/CAD244 on all fares (Biz Flex 3rd free). Codeshare/transatlantic itineraries: Lite 1st and 2nd bag USD120/EUR100; Classic 2nd bag USD120/EUR100; 3rd/4th USD175/EUR155. Overweight 23-32 kg USD75/EUR69/CAD106 (transatlantic USD120/EUR100); oversized 157-292 cm USD75 (transatlantic USD120); extra gate bag up to 11 kg USD100/EUR90/CAD140; overweight gate bag 11-23 kg USD50; oversized gate bag over 114 cm USD50. Pet in hold USD150/EUR135/CAD209 (domestic TTD3.00/kg, Flex only). Fees cumulative, paid at the airport.

'Reservations / Spelling Correction' applies to all fare brands: TTD50 for travel to/from Trinidad & Tobago, USD20/EUR21/CAD31 on all other routes. Definition: 'any correction to a name where no more than two characters are modified in the first, middle and/or the last name, for the sake of typographical errors and not leading to a new name'. Name changes to a different person are not offered.

No explicit no-show fee. Ticket Refunds page: for the illness/death waiver 'the ticketed flights must be cancelled before the scheduled departure time for the ticket to retain refund value'; non-refundable Lite fares keep only some taxes; some non-refundable tickets may be reissued within their validity period (contact the booking office). Validity: one year from the start of travel, or from issue if unused.

International groups: 10 persons or more (children under 2 do not count), affinity groups with a leader, departing and arriving together; group discount 10% on all destinations (effective 7 Nov 2019), only on Classic branded fares, not on sale fares, not on POS-TAB sectors and no groups on codeshare flights. Domestic Port of Spain-Tobago: 20 persons or more, no discount. Deposits (non-refundable): USD 100 per person plus taxes to/from North America, USD 50 within the Caribbean, none domestic; payment/ticketing time limits by booking window (e.g. 61+ days before departure: deposit within 14 days in peak / 21 days off-peak, full payment 30 days before departure; within 7 days: full payment 6 hours after booking). Group reductions forfeit the deposit of each dropped passenger. Requests via the contact form choosing 'Group Booking Request'. No group bookings POS-HAV.

Caribbean Airlines' loyalty program is Caribbean Miles (tiers Silver, Gold, Platinum; award processing USD25, change fee USD75 North America / USD60 intra-Caribbean, redeposit USD100 / USD50, elites exempt). Paid membership club: Caribbean Club (USD350 individual / USD650 with co-applicant / USD300 corporate per person, date-change fees waived with 5 vouchers).. Miles and status are managed with Caribbean Airlines, not with Touriyo.

Checked-baggage fee tables marked 'For tickets purchased on or after 8th July 2026, updated checked baggage fees apply' with new off-peak/peak pricing and a USD5 discount for purchase more than 24 h before departure.

Ticket Refund Services Directory: 'Requests for ticket refunds should be directed to the place where you purchased your ticket, e.g. if you made your booking at the Call Centre or a Travel Agent your ticket refund should be initiated by that party.' Online Cancel & Hold tool only for tickets purchased directly from Caribbean Airlines (ticket offices, call centre, app, website): 'If you used a travel agent/partner, please contact them directly for assistance.' The 24-hour refund policy also applies only to direct purchases. Ticket Refunds page: 'If you purchase your ticket through a Travel Agent or Online Travel Agency, please contact the agency directly to request your refund.
