How it works with Touriyo

  1. Call the number on this page with your booking reference and the name on the ticket.
  2. If Touriyo issued your ticket, the agent reads its fare rules, tells you what Japan Airlines charges for the change and quotes one total with Touriyo's fee.
  3. If you bought the ticket from Japan Airlines or another agency, the agent explains Japan Airlines' published rules, tells you which channel can change it and compares the change with a new ticket, which we can book if it costs less.
  4. Nothing is charged until you agree to a quoted total. Touriyo's fee is charged only when the change or the new ticket is confirmed.

The total, including the airline's charges and Touriyo's fee, is quoted before any card is taken. Refunds owed by the airline are never reduced by our fee.

What Touriyo can do

  • Change, cancel, request refunds and add bags on tickets Touriyo issued.
  • On any other Japan Airlines ticket: explain Japan Airlines' published rules, tell you which channel can help and book a new ticket if that works out better.

What Touriyo cannot do

  • Change, cancel or refund a ticket that Japan Airlines or another agency issued: only the issuer can.
  • Decide or speed up a refund: Japan Airlines decides and pays it.

What Japan Airlines publishes about tickets bought through an agency

FAQ: 'For tickets purchased through travel agencies or other sources besides JAL, please contact the point of purchase directly' for changes; refunds of agency tickets are applied for with 'the travel agent where you purchased the ticket'; the 24-hour full refund for agency purchases must be requested from the agent. Online 'Rebook' only works for e-tickets purchased on JAL's own website with a credit card. JAL Contact Center changes of tickets bought elsewhere carry a Ticket Service Fee (USD 50 in the U.S.).
