LATAM Airlines bookings: changes, cancellations and refunds with Touriyo

Whether a change is allowed, and whether it carries a fee, depends on the fare bought: Basic, Light, Standard, Premium Economy Standard and Premium Business Standard allow 'cambio con cargo antes del vuelo' (change with a fee before the flight); Full, Premium Economy Full and Premium Business Full allow 'cambio sin cargo antes del vuelo' (fare difference may still apply). LATAM does not publish the fee amounts on its public pages: the exact conditions are shown in 'Mis Viajes' or on the purchase receipt. The new date can be up to about 11 months (330 days) from the moment of the change; the ticket is valid 12 months from the first flight; after a change the next change follows the conditions of the last fare bought. If LATAM cancels or reschedules the flight (departure brought forward by 16+ minutes or delayed 31+ minutes) the itinerary can be changed at no cost to the same destination and cabin, within 12 months of purchase, through the 'Reprogramar viaje' portal.

Only the Full fares (Full, Premium Economy Full, Premium Business Full) list 'Devolución total antes del vuelo' (full refund before the flight); Basic, Light and Standard fares do not list a refund attribute. For flights cancelled or significantly rescheduled by LATAM the passenger may rebook, request a refund of the ticket value or buy other LATAM services. Colombia: retracto for purchases made online or at a distance within 5 business days of purchase and at least 5 days before departure, full refund with no retention except the non-refundable 'tarifa administrativa'; desistimiento with at least 24 hours' notice before the flight, LATAM may retain up to 10% of the fare (excluding taxes and administrative fee), not applicable to promotional fares; when bought through a travel agency the agency makes the refund; refunds under these rights within 15 calendar days. USA (customer service plan): refunds to the original form of payment within 7 business days for card purchases and 20 days for cash/cheque, including unused optional services on oversold, significantly delayed or cancelled flights; duplicate-ticket or death refunds must go through the Contact Center.

Refundable tickets: Refundable before the flight: Full, Premium Economy Full, Premium Business Full ('Devolución total antes del vuelo'). Pre-October-2023 fares: Plus had 40% refund, Top/Premium full refund. Not listed as refundable: Basic, Light, Standard, Premium Economy Standard, Premium Business Standard.

Flights operated by LATAM to, from or within the United States (customer service plan, item 5): 'LATAM will allow reservations purchased to be canceled without charges, for at least 24 hours after the reservation is made if the reservation is made one week or more prior to the flight's scheduled departure.' Refund of those cancellations within 7 business days (card) / 20 days (cash or cheque).

Carry-on: Bolso o mochila (included in all fares): max 45 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm including pockets and handles, max 10 kg, all cabins. Maleta pequeña (included in Light, Full, Standard, Premium Economy Standard/Full and Premium Business Standard/Full; NOT in Basic): max 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm including wheels and handle, max 12 kg in Economy and 16 kg in Premium Economy / Premium Business.

Checked bags: Each piece max 158 cm linear (alto + largo + ancho) and 23 kg. Included: Standard and Full 1 x 23 kg; Premium Economy Standard/Full 1 x 23 kg; Premium Business Standard 1 x 23 kg, Premium Business Full 2 x 23 kg; Basic and Light none (extra cost). Max 10 checked pieces per passenger on LATAM flights. Route limits: Guayaquil-New York Economy up to 2 pieces (Premium 3); Quito-Miami Economy 1 / Premium 2 until 1 Sep 2026, then 2 / 3; no oversize or special baggage on those routes. Pieces over 23 kg pay excess at the airport counter.

LATAM's Colombian rights page: if you notice an error in your names or surnames on the ticket you may report it to the airline or the travel agency for immediate correction; the correction carries an additional charge that cannot exceed the 'tarifa administrativa' in force at the time of the correction; a data correction never allows a change of passenger.

'Si no te presentas el día de tu viaje: podrás reprogramarlo solo si tu tarifa permite cambios después de la salida del vuelo y mientras tu ticket esté vigente. Recuerda que deberás pagar el cargo por cambio que corresponda a la tarifa que compraste y cualquier diferencia que aplique si deseas una tarifa superior.'

Corporate groups channel (LATAM Airlines corporate subdomain): 10 or more passengers travelling together on the same date, origin and destination; quotes handled through the LATAM corporate groups platform.

LATAM Airlines sells these fare families, each with its own change, refund and baggage rules:

• One-aisle aircraft (domestic, within South America, South America-Central America/Caribbean): Basic (bag only, change with fee), Light (adds 12 kg small bag), Full (adds 23 kg checked bag, free changes, standard seat, full refund before the flight)
• Two-aisle aircraft (Brazil domestic and outside South America/Central America): Light, Standard (adds 23 kg checked bag), Full (free changes, full refund)
• Premium Business Standard (1 x 23 kg) / Full (2 x 23 kg, free changes, full refund)
• Fares available since October 2023; the previous families were Basic, Light, Plus (40% refund), Top/Premium Economy and Top/Premium Business

LATAM Airlines' loyalty program is LATAM Pass (Elite tiers Gold, Platinum, Black, Black Signature). Miles and status are managed with LATAM Airlines, not with Touriyo.

Fare families restructured in October 2023 (Basic/Light/Full, Light/Standard/Full, Premium Standard/Full). Checked-bag limits on Quito-Miami changed on 1 September 2026 (Economy 1 to 2 pieces; Premium 2 to 3).

LATAM's Colombian rights page states that when the purchase was made through a travel agency, the agency is responsible for the refund under retracto/desistimiento ('Cuando tu compra haya sido realizada por medio de una agencia de viajes, esta será la encargada de realizarte la devolución que corresponda'), and that name errors can be reported 'a la aerolínea o agencia de viajes' for correction. The US customer service plan says that for bookings made through a travel agency LATAM will contact the agency, which in turn contacts the passenger, unless direct contact details were added to the booking. The corporate groups channel explicitly excludes travel agencies as intermediaries.
