The agent checks Air India's published refund rules for your fare, including what applies when the airline cancels or changes your flight.
If Touriyo issued the ticket, we request the refund from Air India and follow it up. If you bought it elsewhere, the agent tells you where and how to ask for it.
Air India decides and pays refunds on its tickets. Touriyo's fee is never deducted from a refund the airline owes you.

The total, including the airline's charges and Touriyo's fee, is quoted before any card is taken. Refunds owed by the airline are never reduced by our fee.

What Touriyo can do

Change, cancel, request refunds and add bags on tickets Touriyo issued.
On any other Air India ticket: explain Air India's published rules, tell you which channel can help and book a new ticket if that works out better.

What Touriyo cannot do

Change, cancel or refund a ticket that Air India or another agency issued: only the issuer can.
Decide or speed up a refund: Air India decides and pays it.

What Air India publishes about tickets bought through an agency

Air India states repeatedly that tickets issued by a travel agent or bought on a third-party website must be refunded and status-checked through that agent/website ('please reach out to your travel agent or visit the website to help initiate your refund'); tickets from Air India offices only at the same office. For skipped segments on agency tickets: 'please contact your travel agent or raise a request through the Air India Customer Support Portal'. Basic fares are sold only through Air India direct channels. Self-service re-accommodation requires a valid e-ticket and email on the PNR and max 9 passengers.
