Cathay Pacific bookings: changes, cancellations and refunds with Touriyo

Tickets booked through Cathay Pacific (website, app, Customer Care) are changed in Manage Booking when the fare allows ('If you have booked a changeable ticket directly with Cathay Pacific reservations office, please call us'); fees and rules follow the fare type. 'If you purchased your ticket through a travel agent or a third-party website, please contact them directly to organise your change.' Fare types named on the FAQ pages: Economy Essential and Economy Flex (plus Student fare); changing to another fare type or cabin after purchase is covered in the Fare classes FAQ.

'If you booked through Cathay Pacific - on our website, mobile app or through Customer Care - the fastest way to cancel or organise a refund is to log into Manage Booking. If you purchased your ticket through a travel agent - please contact them directly to organise your cancellation. We are unable to process refunds for these bookings.' Fully unused award tickets can be refunded online; partially used award tickets are not refundable. Refunds for online changes 'normally take up to 7 calendar days' (longer with interline flights or if new payment details are needed). Economy Essential/Flex buyers may get a free refund if their chosen seat type is unavailable (FAQ).

Refundable tickets: Per fare type; award tickets refundable only if fully unused.

'For online bookings made via our US website, and seven days before departure, you may cancel the paid reservations within 24 hours after the booking creation date for a full refund via Manage Booking.' Separately, Cathay members who bought through Cathay's website, app or WeChat mini programme can cancel free of charge within 24 hours via Manage Booking ('24-hour free cancellation').

Checked bags: 'The free checked baggage allowance varies by cabin class and Cathay membership tier.

For tickets purchased through Cathay Pacific, free of charge with the booking reference and a copy of the travel document: add or delete a middle name, swap the order of surname/first/middle name, add a missing part of the name, correct typing mistakes, correct title or gender, update the name for legal reasons (marriage, divorce, adoption) after date-of-birth verification. 'We are unable to change the full name unless a valid legal reason is provided.' Request via Customer Care. Agency tickets: contact the agent.
