Avelo Airlines bookings: changes, cancellations and refunds with Touriyo

'Changing your flight with Avelo is easy. If your new flight costs more than your original booking, you'll pay the fare difference. And if your new flight is cheaper, the savings will be credited as Avelo Cash... valid for one year.' Change/cancel fee as a percentage of total reservation value, by booking date: reservations booked on/after 5/6/26 without AveloFlex: >90 days 10%, 60 to 90 days 25%, 15 to 59 days 50%, 24 hours to 14 days 75%, 15 minutes to 24 hours 90%; booked 1/30/26 to 5/5/26: >60 days 10%, 8 to 60 days 50%, 24 h to 7 days 75%, 15 min to 24 h 90%; booked 3/6/25 to 1/29/26: >60 days no fee, 8 to 60 days 25%, 24 h to 7 days 50%, 15 min to 24 h 75%; booked before 3/6/25: no fee. With AveloFlex (add-on 'Up to $50'): 'No change or cancel fees assessed. You can make a one-time change or cancel your flight up to 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure.' 'No changes or cancels are permitted within 15 minutes of departure.' $25 per seated traveler for changes or cancellations made through the Customer Solutions Center (free online in Manage Trips).

'When you cancel or remove items from your reservation, you will receive Avelo Cash' (electronic credit, valid one year from the booking date for customer-initiated changes/cancellations per the contract of carriage), minus the change/cancel fee percentage above unless AveloFlex was bought. Contract of carriage: 'Nonrefundable Reservations. The fare paid for unused travel by Customers who purchase restricted, nonrefundable Reservations are not eligible for refunds, except as provided in Section 3(H)(i) and Section 12.' Refund to the original form of payment: cancellation within 24 hours of booking (booked at least one week before departure); Avelo cancels or significantly delays/changes the flight and the customer does not fly (14 CFR 260.6); 'When a refund is due, it will be provided within 7 business days of receiving a completed refund request for credit or debit card purchases, and within 20 days for other types of purchases.' Avelo does not rebook on other airlines; controllable delays: hotel 'to the best of our ability'.

Refundable tickets: No refundable fares; AveloFlex only waives the change/cancel fee (credit is still Avelo Cash less the AveloFlex fee). Refund requests: 'The fastest way to submit your refund request is by calling our Customer Solutions Center at (346) 616-9500.' Involuntary significant change: option to 'cancel your reservation without penalty and receive a refund to the original form of payment'.

Credits and vouchers: Avelo Cash: 'an electronic credit in a specified dollar amount valid for the purchase of Avelo products and services for a specified period from the date of issuance... not to exceed... one (1) year from the booking date for Customer-initiated changes/cancellations'; 'Reservations, and any Avelo Cash issued for unused Reservations or as compensation, are nontransferable unless specified explicitly.'

Contract of carriage: 'Following receipt of payment from a Customer, Avelo will allow a Reservation to be held at the quoted fare for 24 hours if the Reservation is made at least one week prior to the flight's departure. If such Reservation is canceled within 24 hours of booking, Customer will receive a full refund without assessment of a cancellation fee.' Customer Service Commitment heading 4: 'Accept reservation cancellation without penalty within 24 hours of booking'.

Carry-on: 1 free personal item up to 17 x 13 x 9 in (43 x 33 x 22 cm) under the seat. Carry-on bag (22 x 14 x 9 in / 55 x 35 x 22 cm, overhead bin) is PAID: 'From $52 to $75' per person per direction, cheapest at initial booking, more if bought later or at the airport. Active-duty military: one free carry-on.

Checked bags: Up to 10 bags per customer, each paid: 'From $47 to $75' per bag per direction; 50 lb (22 kg) and 62 in (157 cm) limits; overweight 51 to 70 lb +$100, oversize 63 to 80 in +$100, both +$200; bags over 70 lb or 80 in not accepted. Bags accepted from 2 hours to 40 minutes before departure.

Fees: Carry-on from $52 to $75; checked from $47 to $75; priority boarding $25; pet in cabin $125; AveloFlex up to $50; seat selection from $10; Avelo PLUS membership $99/year (first year $59).

'Only name corrections (such as misspellings) are allowed. Please contact our Customer Support Center at (346) 616-9500 for help with this.' Contract of carriage: 'Reservations are Nontransferable.' No fee stated for corrections; name changes to another person not allowed.

Contract of carriage: 'No Show Customers. If a Reservation is not changed or canceled at least 15 minutes prior to departure and the Customer does not travel on a flight, Avelo may cancel, at Avelo's discretion, the Customer's Reservation without notice, in which case all charges associated with that flight are forfeited.' 'If a Customer attempts to change or cancel his/her Reservation less than 15 minutes prior to departure, all charges associated with that flight are forfeited.'

Change/cancel fee ladder raised for reservations booked on/after 5/6/26 (10%/25%/50%/75%/90% with new 90- and 15-day bands); previous ladders dated 1/30/26 and 3/6/25. Avelo PLUS membership and AveloFlex add-on current.
