Sun Country Airlines bookings: changes, cancellations and refunds with Touriyo

Flight Only (Change and Cancellation Policy, verbatim): 'Change Fees Per direction, per traveler. Days prior to departure: 60+ days: $0; 59 - 14 days: $49 per segment; 13 - 0 days: $99 per segment. Change fees are per direction, per traveler. If the price of the new airfare is lower, the difference is given in the form of a flight voucher, which must be used for travel one year from the date the trip is purchased. Any increases in cost of the airfare is the responsibility of the customer at the time of change. Change fees for flights out of Canada: 59 - 14 days: $40.95; 13 - 0 days: $82.95.' 'Change fees are cumulative.' Flexible Fare add-on ($19 - $120 per person, per round-trip, bought at initial booking for all travelers): one-time change or cancellation up to one hour before departure without change fees ('Avoid paying change fees of up to $198 per person, per round-trip'); 'Use Flexible Fare add on 59 - 1 day prior to departure, as changes/cancellations are free at 60+ days prior to departure.' Changes online via Manage Trip or by phone; policies for bookings made before September 25, 2023 are separate.

'Airfare and any additional components (including car rental, paid seat selections and bag options) are non-refundable, but may be changed or canceled prior to the scheduled departure less applicable change fees, unless otherwise specified. Customers that cancel after the scheduled departure date and time forfeit the value of the no-show segment/package components.' Cancellation fee = the change-fee tiers ($0 / $49 / $99 per segment). Remaining value is issued as a flight voucher: 'Flight vouchers expire one year from the date the original itinerary was booked and can be used towards travel beyond the date of expiration'; flight credits/vouchers can buy flights, bags, seats, priority boarding and change-fee waivers, not hotels, insurance or cars, and are not accepted at the airport or onboard. Refund to the original form of payment only under the 24-hour policy. Flight + Hotel packages: non-refundable, changeable with penalties up to 4 days before departure.

Refundable tickets: No refundable fares are sold; the Flexible Fare add-on only waives the change fee once (credit is still a non-refundable, non-transferable flight credit).

Credits and vouchers: Flight voucher (17-digit code) and flight credit (6-character code = original reservation code), both redeemable on the Review and Pay page; expire one year after the original booking date; 'Qualified bookings with credit balances from changes or cancellations will be issued a non-refundable, non-transferable flight credit good for future travel.'

('24 Hour Cancellation Policy'): 'Sun Country Airlines will allow a customer to cancel a reservation made directly with Sun Country Airlines reservations staff or on our website without penalty for up to 24 hours from the time of making the initial reservation provided the reservation is made more than 7 days (168 hours) in advance of flight departure.'

Carry-on: One free under-seat item per traveler (max 17 in H x 13 in W x 9 in D). Overhead bag is PAID: max 24 x 16 x 11 in, 35 lb, must fit the sizer; price varies by flight and when bought (cheapest at booking, more at the ticket counter, most at the gate; $10 Gate Handling Fee at the gate).

Checked bags: Paid: 62 linear inches, 50 lb; overweight surcharges 51-60 lb +$25, 61-70 lb +$50, 71-80 lb +$75, 81-90 lb +$100, 91-99 lb +$125; 63+ linear inches $100; special sporting equipment $100; bags of 70 lb or more not accepted to/from Canada, Jamaica and Puerto Rico; over 80 in or 100 lb not accepted. All bags priced each way, per person, non-refundable. Active U.S. military: two free checked bags up to 100 lb and one free overhead bag. Visa Signature cardholders: 50% off first bag online.

Fees: Priority check-in and boarding $5-$25 per traveler. Passenger Interface Charge from $22 per passenger per segment on online and call-centre bookings. Pet in cabin $75 advance reservation ($100 walk-up).
